The Northwest Center of Excellence for Marine Manufacturing and Technology will provide expertise and support in the formation of a regional Marine Manufacturing and Technology Alliance for growth and sustainability of the industry. The Alliance will:

• Develop special resources for employers and coordinate/broker industry partnerships and alliances
• Coordinate the formation of public/private partnerships to leverage resources for workforce training in the marine trades
• Develop a faculty and college network to share information and industry trends
• Attend regional and national meetings, teleconferences, and conferences as industry/college partners to disseminate and retrieve information
• Support and inform the development of a regional Marine Training and Education Center
• Lead the state-wide efforts in curriculum development and best practices in training in the marine trades
